ligers

Liger is one of the hybrid offspring. It’s a breed of a male lion and a female tiger. Vice versa would be called a tigon. These creatures, you can see several similar qualities that they have inherited from their parents, both in physical and behavioral terms. If you look at the picture of them here, you can see that they have tiger-like stripe patterns along with their pale and golden lion-like fur. They enjoy swimming as the tigers do, and they are social animals like their father, the lion. Did you know that ligers are known to be the largest cat alive, the males being over 900 pounds on average? The largest liger, named Hercules, weighed up to 922 pounds, already reaching 900 pounds at the age of three. He’s actually on the Guinness world record for this. Considering that an average tiger only weighs about 400 to 420 pounds, you can see that these carnivores far outgrow their own parents. Ligers reach a total length of 10 to 12 feet, 6 feet in height. Maybe, liger’s growth is one of evidence of their predecessor were giants.
